These are assembled by pushing 3 x male gold plated pins into the male housing. The male housing is then pushed into the female housing. Note these are Gold plated tin connectors. The connector used within the port is gold plated tin. The pin holder which is the metal the connector is attached to that is of no use after the connector has been detached is tin with no gold plating.
